As we head into our winter time the routine of setting the local times on your vehicle display unit (VDU) requires adjustment.
This will take place on Sunday 27th October at 02:00. The universal time coordinate (UTC) time never changes as all units record the same time right across the globe. To change the time set inside the unit by any more than one minute per day you would need to take the vehicle to a registered tachograph centre to have this time corrected. It is vital that the UTC recording time is accurate, especially if you drive more than one vehicle in your fleet on a regular basis as infringements for time overlaps will occur as you swap from one vehicle to another.
The time shown on the face of the unit is displayed as local time and this can be adjusted quite easily by looking through the VDU menu display.
